Tom began studying the martial arts in 1971 and is currently a 6th dan black belt under Master Ernie Reyes, Sr. He was a member of the famous Ernie Reyes West Coast Demo Team and appeared in a number of the Reyes’ TV and film projects including, ABC’s SideKicks, Disney’s Secret Bodyguard, New Line Cinema’s Surf Ninjas and Waterworld. Recent projects include The Six Tasks Character Development Program (www.sixtasks.com), the Acts of Kindness Program (www.911aok.com), and the Ultimate Black Belt Test (www.utlimateblackbelttest.com). He is currently writing a book with Guerilla Marketing guru Jay Conrad Levinson.

He has produced video, reports, and curriculum for Educational Funding Company, The National Association of Professional Martial Artists (NAPMA), and the Martial Arts Industry Association (MAIA). He has written about the martial arts for dozens of publications including Modern Maturity, Shape, Women’s Sports & Fitness, Dwell, Cooking Light, Black Belt, Inside Karate, Inside Kung Fu, Martial Arts Professional, and Martial Arts Success Magazines.
